We are proud to announce that Oxycom is now an official member of the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Foundation of the Netherlands. SDG is a non-profit organization, supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations, focused on reaching a sustainable future for all. The SDG addresses global challenges including poverty, inequality, climate change and environmental degradation, by involving individuals and companies alike.
Oxycom’s contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals
From the start, Oxycom has been always focused on sustainability and clean energy. Oxycom's partnership with SDG aims to combine Oxycom's expertise and knowledge with the Sustainable Development Goals 2030. In total, Oxycom contributes to six of the United Nations’ SDGs:
SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy
Energy is the dominant contributor to climate change, accounting for a vast majority of 60% of total global greenhouse emissions.
Oxycom focuses on clean energy. Cooling, heating and ventilating by only using the power of water. Oxycom guarantees up to 90% energy savings and up to 30% less water consumption compared to traditional air conditioning.
Our Austrian partner, Infranorm, won the Energy Globe Award 2020 with our innovative and sustainable IntrCooll product.
SDG 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure
Climate action, economic growth, and social development are all dependent on investments in sustainability.
Oxycom is closely involved in the sustainable industrialization. Our goal is to improve the indoor air quality and to lower energy consumption and CO2 emissions of new and existing buildings.
SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities
Cities and its companies are the powerhouses for economic growth but also account for 70% of the total global carbon emission, worsening among other things, the air pollution.
By offering sustainable air conditioning solutions, Oxycom is willing to contribute to lowering CO2 emissions and improving employees’ working conditions by delivering 100% clean and fresh air.
SDG 12: Responsible consumption and production
Our worldwide consumption and production rest on the use of the natural environment and its resources.
Oxycom’s products allow companies to save on the use of natural resources, allowing for responsible consumption. At the same time, the healthy indoor working environment Oxycom offers allows growing efficiency in production.
SDG 13: Climate action
Climate change is affecting every country in the world. Companies and individuals are urged to take actions to adhere to the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Oxycom’s products comply with the Paris Agreement in terms of: reduction of CO2 emissions, increase of the market share in renewable energy and increase of energy- efficient solutions. In other words, Oxycom is commited to combat climate change and its impact.
SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals
Success in sustainable development requires partnerships. Oxycom works together with distributors worldwide: from Europe to Africa to the Middle East.
Our goal is to share innovation, technology, and sustainability enabling companies worldwide to get in line with the SDG’s goals and with the Paris Climate Agreement.
